Guide-ID approached us to help them design their new Podcatcher Pro. From scratch we started to work together to create an all new audio experience. With their product team we developed a full line-up of products, the Podcatcher Pro, their docking station and the IDentfiers on the wall. From first workshop, to sketching, concept development and pre-production engineering we supported them through the whole process.
When developing the Podcatcher Pro, Guide-ID wanted to make an incremental improvement – they wanted to create something that truly changes the way museums can deliver storytelling. The Pro model is designed to inspire and engage visitors like never before. Imagine walking into a room where the audio content changes automatically based on your location, or seamlessly switching between layers of sound to reveal deeper layers of a story.

The Art of Listening
The new Podcatcher Pro was designed for the best, most engaging audio experience. At the core of this is the new speaker, that will create the best story-telling experience. The LED ring around the speaker emphasizes this core element. The LED is also used for simple communication about status, connection, group activities and much more.

Art comes first
IDentifiers are used to start the audio. It is very important that these are easy to find while not distracting from the art.
That is why we have focused on a small and simple form factor. The circular shape is a nice reference to the speaker and the circular light ring.
