Xsens, a Movella brand and world leader in inertial motion capture technology, asked us to help them develop the Next-Generation Xsens Link – a faster, smarter system for capturing and analyzing human movement in sports, health, and research. We have designed and engineered all the hardware parts of the suit, from the sensors and the hub to the new interior for the Pelikan travel case.
The result is the Next-Generation Link eSuit. Combining research-grade accuracy with real-world usability, it provides clean, reliable motion data through even the most demanding athletic and clinical sessions.

Together with the product team of Xsens we went through multiple rounds of concepts for the sensors, finding the best solution for the one-click sensors to offer the most optimal user experience in setup and use. The new Link eSuit is built to push the limits of sports and science.

For every challenge
We helped to design the new eSuit hardware from the ground up. From the first brainstorm sessions about the sliding mechanism of the sensors, prototyping these first ideas, creating the right moodboards and concept sketches, to the detailed engineering and 2D technical drawing files for production.
Quick set-up is now possible with the eSuit’s one-click sensors and integrated washable cabling. Clear sensor slots make setup precise & easy. The small and friendly sensors make sure that users still have all the freedom to do their job!
Smarter & lasting longer
At the heart of every Link eSuit is the all new HUB.
Recording without interruptions is extremely valuable for the Link eSuit users. Wi-Fi 6E, hot-swappable externals, and an internal backup battery ensure seamless sessions. The future-ready hub offers flexible body placement for comfort. The speaker for audio feedback and the integrated LED feedback bar help to create a better user experience.
In close cooperation with Xsens’ product team we managed to fit all the internals into a compact & rounded casing. That is designed to be durable and easy to wear in the challenging user environments.
The sensors and HUB share one design intend, this overall look and feel is emphasized in the complete re-design of the unboxing experience. For this unboxing we really put the daily users first, creating a clear and easy to organize case to ensure their product experience will always feel premium.
