For the Protego project, DE-Design collaborated with ACM (Malaysia), a key supplier for Philips, to develop a high-quality, cost-effective medical cart for echoscopy. Our team was engaged to turn Philips’ initial concept into a fully realized, detailed design that met all functional and aesthetic requirements at a competitive cost. Thanks to our expertise, ACM won the tender, with DE-Design responsible for the detailed design, engineering, and preparation for production.

Throughout the project, DE-Design proposed multiple detailed design solutions, developed several prototypes, and completed all engineering tasks required for production readiness. Our collaboration with Philips and ACM ensured a seamless design-to-production transition, with continuous quality checks at every stage. We conducted mold flow analyses, tolerance stack-ups, QMS compliance checks, and strength calculations to guarantee the product’s high quality and durability.
In the end, DE-Design delivered a finely engineered, production-ready Protego medical cart, aligning with Philips’ standards of quality, efficiency, and design excellence.
